Kingsbarns Golf Links
Well, everything you have heard about Kingsbarns is true. This is one amazing golf course, with a terrific clubhouse and excellent service to boot. Kingsbarns is extremely deserving to host the best in the world every years as part of the trio of courses used to stage the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on the European Tour, along with the Old Course at St. Andrews and Carnoustie. The course has the most exquisite combination of variety and playability I have ever had the pleasure to play on. Kingsbarns is most certainly a course that golfers of any skill level can enjoy.
Learning about the history of Kingsbarns only added to my fascination with the course. The original nine hole course is one of the oldest in Scotland, dating back to 1793. During World War II the course became unplayable when it was mined to protect against invading forces. The course lay dormant until the 21st Century when it was resurrected into what it is today. Kingsbarns is a true masterpiece with elements of Bandon Dunes, Whistling Straits, and Pebble Beach all intertwining to create a purely unique experience.
