The Golf Courses of Lawsonia are favorites of many golfers in the state of Wisconsin. Opened in 1930, Lawsonia has received many accolades over the years. It has been recognized by Golf Digest as One of America’s Best and Most Affordable Public Golf Facilities. Lawsonia was also ranked as one of the finest “Classic” courses in the nation by GolfWeek magazine. The Links course at Lawsonia is currently ranked #58 on Golf Digest’s list of Top 100 public golf courses in the U.S.
The great thing about Lawsonia is how distinct their two courses are. Their Woodlands Course winds through majestic trees and has a number of amazing layouts and elevation changes. It is quiet, tranquil, and beautiful. Their Links Course is exposed on almost every hole and you will most likely deal with wind on every shot. It is open, but tricky off the tee. And the green complexes are something to behold, mostly elevated with deep bunkers on either side. A perfect facility for a day of 36 holes with tons of variety.
