Old Hickory Golf Club
Old Hickory Golf Club is one of my personal favorite courses in the state. Event though it is located about an hour from my house, it is always in my mental options when I have a day to myself to choose anywhere I want to go. I will admit that I wasn’t impressed as I drove into the course for the first time. The driving range looked pretty ordinary and the clubhouse didn’t blow me away at first glance. But I remember walking up to the putting green and seeing the closing holes of each nine on that initial visit. I stopped in my tracks and thought, “Well, this isn’t what I was expecting.”
Old Hickory offers an amazing array of holes to bring out every club in your bag. There are mature trees, well manicured fairways and greens, elevation changes, heavily pitched slopes, and tons of other features on this beautiful course. I am a big fan of Mark Bergman, owner and head pro at Old Hickory. He and his staff will always make you feel welcome from the time you walk into the golf shop. Wisconsin Golf Trips highly recommends that you consider a drive up to Old Hickory Golf Club during your next trip to Wisconsin.
