Sand Valley
The Sand Valley Course was the first to open at Sand Valley Resort in 2017. Designed by the world-renowned duo of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, Sand Valley has sparked tons of interest since being named Best New Course in the world for 2017 by Golf Digest. So what is all the hype about? Quite simply it is a remarkable design resting on top of an amazing piece of property.
The word I constantly am using when describing Sand Valley is FUN. The rumors are true..you really have to go out of your way to lose a ball when playing Sand Valley. The fairways are extremely open and when you miss one, most of the time you are walking up a sand dune and just plopping it back into play. The most memorable part of the Coore/Crenshaw design to me are the green complexes. There are elevated greens, there are recessed greens, there are greens with huge undulations in them…and all of them can be played with a variety of shots.
