The Sandbox Par 3 Course
I consider myself somewhat of a Par 3-Short Course-Putting Course snob as I a feel I have been fortunate enough to have played most of the ones around the country that you hear about a lot. I LOVE The Sandbox, plain and simple. Most of the holes are short to VERY short in length and right away you are lulled into a sense that this could be a breeze. Nope!
Unless you are incredibly precise, odds are you are going to find yourself in at least spot during the round that you never want to be in again for the rest of your life. The bunkers are penal, the slopes of the greens are somewhat hard to decipher from the tee, and the humps and bumps of some of the greens will befuddle you, even with putter in hand. But for a group of golfers looking to relax a bit after a long day on the course, the Sandbox is the perfect recipe of shot-making, fun, and some adult beverages. Do what you can to play The Sandbox at least once on your next trip to Sand Valley!
